My name is Tamera Williams. I was born and raised on the Navajo Reservation in Shiprock, New Mexico and am a full blooded Native American woman. About four years ago, in 2016, I noticed many waxing services but no threading services in our Four Corners community, whereas this service had been available in "big cities", for many years. So I started my threading business and worked out of an existing salon until I opened my own, LUX Studio.
My Clients come from diverse ethnic backgrounds and genders. They are beautiful people and all I do is enhance their own natural beauty and make the feel more LUX-urious. I wanted to offer my clients more. So in addition to the services I already offer: threading, lash lifts, brow and lash tinting, and eyelash extension, I wanted to offer the convenience of false lashes. This led to my first line and release of hand designed and crafted luxury lashes. The LUX branded lashes were named after the most influential and strong-willed women in my life, my family members.
In October 2019, I opened my second studio in downtown Albuquerque, New Mexico and started plans for my second line of lashes. From the names of each set of lashes to the packaging, I wanted to incorporate my Native American heritage. I am proud to be a successful Navajo, female, business owner who grew up on the reservation.
I am proud to introduce my new line of LUX lashes, the Dine' Lin. The packaging is inspired by Native American pottery design and the lash names are communities and spiritual locations on the Native Reservation. There are over 25 styles to choose from and 3 different lengths: 22mm, 25mm, and 28mm. they are 5D, which means 5 layers of lashes, so they're fuller and longer. With proper care they can be worn up to 25 times.
Thank you for all your support and business. I hope you love this line of lashes as much as I do. I will continue to offer the highest level of services and products to all my clients.
